How do I sign up?
You can sign up with Mukuru in just a few minutes. To use our services in the UK, you will need to be over 18 years old and are either a resident or citizen of the United Kingdom.

When can I start sending it?
You will be able to send money instantly once your profile is completed and your identity is verified.
What is Mukuru’s pricing?
To view our rates per country and product visit our home page. You can select the send or receive country and the amount you want to send or receive. Select Calculate to view the rate.
What countries can I send money to?
You can send money to multiple countries. See the full list of receive countries.
How do I send money?
You can send money in two easy ways:
- Select the Send Money Now button that appears on the Mukuru App and Website Menu.
- Select Your Mukuru Services on the dashboard.
These options will direct you to the Send Money section where you can select or add a recipient. Follow the prompts to pay for your Mukuru order.
How to pay for my Mukuru order?
You can pay for your Mukuru order in two ways:
- Pay with a debit or credit card registered in the same name as your Mukuru account.
- Pay by bank transfer. After creating the Mukuru order login to your bank’s portal pay for the order using the details provided (ensure the reference details are correct). As soon as the funds are available, the order will be released.
How much money can I send?
A verified identity grants you LITE user status. LITE users can send up to £600 per month.
If your identity verification is unsuccessful, submit an identity document and selfie to be verified as a CORE user. CORE users can send up to £4000 per month.
Please note that sending level above £4,000 per month is currently not available on the Mukuru App.
How to increase my limits?
To increase your limits to £4,000 per month on CORE level, select Upload Documents on your dashboard. Upload one of the following forms of identity documents: International Passport, UK Driving Licence, and UK Biometric Residence Permit. Sending above £4,000 on MAX level is coming soon to the Mukuru App.
Please note that sending level above £4,000 per month is currently not available on the Mukuru App.
How does my Recipient Collect US Dollars?
Your recipient will be sent a voucher with collection details. They will need to bring this voucher number as well as their ID to collect at any Mukuru booth or branch or payout partner.
What if my recipient did not receive an SMS?
You can request for a new SMS to be sent via the WhatsApp self-service channel.
What if my recipients name is spelled incorrectly and does not match the name on their ID?
You can edit your order at any time during the order creation process or after you have already created the order.
