Terms & Conditions for the Mukuru Mighty Wanderers Super League Ticket Competition
- Introduction
- The Mukuru Mighty Wanderers Super League Ticket Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2013/003424/07) trading as Mukuru (“Mukuru”) from 12 April 2023 – 31 October 2023 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”)
- By participating in the Competition, you and the recipient confirm that you have both read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs (as may be applicable).

- Competition Entry Requirements:
- In order to qualify for entry into the Competition:
- Sender be a registered Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru);
- using Mukuru, Sender must send the minimum amount stipulated in the Campaign advertising material to a recipient in Malawi, during the Competition Period;
- recipient in Malawi must reside in the area where the applicable week’s Wanderers Super League match is being played (see 3.1 for details);
- recipient in Malawi must collect their money at any Mukuru booth, branch or partner during the Competition Period;
- sender and the recipient must abide by all the Competition Ts and Cs.
- For the purposes of the Competition, Mukuru will need to process your personal information. For example, your personal information will be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner, announce the winners on social media and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties in other countries. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and will be processed according to our Privacy Notice. By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for the purposes of the Competition.
- Recipients in Malawi who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Recipients” for the purposes of the Competition.
- In order to qualify for entry into the Competition:
- The Prize
- All Qualifying Recipients in Malawi who collected their money in Malawi in the applicable week will be entered into that week’s random draw where 10 (ten) Qualifying Recipients will win the Prize during the Competition Period. The weekly draws are for the following Wanderers Super League matches and the winners must be able to attend that specific week’s match:
- 16 April: Kamuzu
- 23 April: Balaka
- 29 April: Kamuzu
- 7 May: Chiwembe
- 13 May: Mzuzu
- 20 May: Kamuzu
- 27 May: Kamuzu
- 4 June; Karonga
- 10 June: Civo
- 18 June: Kamuzu
- 25 June: Kamuzu
- 1 July: Kamuzu
- 8 July: Chitowe
- 16 July: Kamuzu
- 22 July: Champion
- 6 August: Kamuzu
- 12 August: Mzuzu
- 19 August: Kamuzu
- 26 August: Nankhaka
- 3 September: Chiwembe
- 10 September: Kamuzu
- 17 September: Civo
- 23 September: Kamuzu
- 30 September: Bingu

- The Prize consists of the following:
- Two (2) standard tickets per winning recipient, to watch the Mighty Mukuru Wanderers play a Super League of Malawi match. Mukuru will work with the winner to arrange the redemption of the prize (match dates and etc.).
- Exclusions: all expenses not expressly listed in clause 3.2 above (for example transport to stadium, accommodation, refreshments etc). The winner will be solely responsible for all such expenses.
- Winners for the applicable week will be drawn each Thursday during the Competition Period. Winners may be announced on social media and will also contacted via telephone. Winners must be able to supply Mukuru with a copy of their valid ID and voucher number upon collecting the Prize.
- A winner must collect the physical tickets on the day of the match at the stadium and must bring their ID and voucher number with. If a winner:
- cannot be contacted by Mukuru within three (3) tries; or
- cannot provide Mukuru with a valid ID and voucher number; or
- cannot attend the applicable match;
then the winner will forfeit the Prize.
- All Qualifying Recipients in Malawi who collected their money in Malawi in the applicable week will be entered into that week’s random draw where 10 (ten) Qualifying Recipients will win the Prize during the Competition Period. The weekly draws are for the following Wanderers Super League matches and the winners must be able to attend that specific week’s match:
- General
- Mukuru employees or agents will not be allowed to enter the Competition.
- Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
- A Qualifying Participant can only win once during the Competition Period.
- If the winner is not fully vaccinated, Mukuru cannot guarantee that the winner will be able to make use of the Prize in full or in part and Mukuru disclaims all liability in this regard.
- The winner needs to hold a valid ID and voucher number.
- Mukuru cannot guarantee that the winner will be able to enter into the stadium and disclaims all liability in this regard.
- The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash or another reward.
- If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
- Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
- Mukuru cannot be held liable for any type of loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
- Neither Mukuru nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Competition.
- A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant or winner. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
- Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, Qualifying Participant, or prize winner in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities
- These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of South Africa.
